When people get older sun exposure, gravity and the stresses of everyday life can have an impact on their faces. Between the nose and mouth winkles begin to appear and the skin loosens and falls below the line of the jaw, in addition, there's extra skin and fat that gather around the neck. If you go to Thailand for facelifts, although, it won't stop the process of aging but it can turn back the clock by eliminating the extra skin and fat by straitening the muscles. You are a candidate for the facelifts procedure if you have skin on your face and neck that's dropping, but the skin still had elasticity.
When you go in for the operation it can last anywhere from three to seven hours, however, it can last longer if there are more procedures to be done. Depending on the surgeon that you have they might want to work at one side at a time or they'll do both sides at once. The placement of the incisions and the extent of the operation depend on the structure of the face and the type of correction that's needed.
Normally, the cut begins on the forehead and from there to the front of the ear and to the back of the ear lobe and another cut is made under the chin to correct the neck. The surgeon then divides the skin from the fat, takes out the extra fat, strengthens the muscles and places back the fat pockets where they belong.
Afte the Surgery
After, the surgeon completes that step he'll stretch the skin, cuts wants remaining and closes it up with sutures. Usually, there will be a drainage tube from both sides of the face to allow it drain secretions and blood. In addition, the face has to be bandaged for the first 24 hours after the surgery.
As with any surgery that is performed in Thailand there are some risk that are associated with the operation, although, they're not common occurrences, some of the risk may include, infection, bleeding, damage to the facial nerves, asymmetry of the face and healing that's delayed. Keep in mind that these risk are higher for delayed healing for those who smoke.
After the recovery there may be an instance of discomfort or pain that can be easily controlled with pain medicine. Some might experience of a sensation of ants crawling, but after a few weeks after the surgery the feeling will subside. A day or two after, the surgery the bandages are taken off and the face may appear swollen. There may be a case where the skin may be red and pale with bleeding spots. Don't be alarmed they'll fade away up to a few days to weeks.
When you go to Thailand for a facelifts be prepared to stay in bed for at least a week. You can get up, but staying put and resting will aid in the healing process. Sometimes patients may feel disappointed with the way their appearance of their face since it looks and feels odd, however, after a few weeks the scars will begin to heal and they can see the results from the facelifts.
